Woman dies following incident in Ampthill, Bedfordshire

A woman has sadly died after an incident outside a pub in Ampthill.

The woman sustained a serious head injury after falling when approaching a waiting taxi outside the Queen’s Head pub in Woburn Street on Friday 17 March.

The incident happened at approximately 10.40pm.

Emergency services were called and the woman, in her 50s, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by air ambulance where she sadly died yesterday.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.
