Controlled explosion after suspicious device found in Bedford's Embankment
The incident happened yesterday (Sunday)
The bomb squad exploded a suspicious device found in The Embankment, Bedford, yesterday (Sunday).
Roads were previously closed and a team from the EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) moved the device to a safe location where a controlled explosion was carried out.
